The Good Shepherd

Refuge for young single mothers

The Good Shepherd Home cares for adolescent mothers who are victims of sexual abuse from 12 to 15 years old and pregnant. They are given protection before, during and after having their babies. An important goal of the project is helping them to know and understand that they are very important girls in the eyes of God. While they are with us they receive permanent attention from psychological services due to their trauma. They attend elementary school, high school and church. They are taught to love and care for their babies. Temporarily the facility where the project worked is closed. We only have four mothers currently under our care which are distributed between the Home for Girls and Casa Misericordia.
